Horseman - not as important an upgrade, but boosts their damage and survivability quite a bit Skirmisher - first upgrade and already cav. Tribesman - best starting unit in game (bows, throwing spears, sometimes horses, still on par in melee) they also double as ranged troops, while being good in melee. Tribesman - skirmisher - horseman - lancerģ upgrades, and you're at heavy cavalry, and skirmishers and horsemen are light cavalry, which outclass light infantry by far.
Now on to my other point about the khergit.īut they're the best at every other point in the game. Lance has its uses, but as you said "unless you have the acrobatics" Yes, swadian k-hts are great, but before they're k-hts, you're better off being khergit, in every way. nothing beats a khergit army untill you could have a full army of swadian k-hts.īut swadian k-hts take longer to get, and are weaker up untill the point where they become k-hts. Khergit are not the most powerfull cavalry in the game, BUT they are the QUICKEST way to get as strong an army as possible.Įarly game, khergit are unmatched. Having basically the same skills as a vaegir guard (4 power strike, 4 iron flesh, etc) but with better stats, while a vaegir guard has 8 strenght, a khergit lancer has 11. everything, and their level stats are on par or better than most melee infantry. they have heavy armor, armored horses, lances, swords, bows, shields. Khergit lancer - level 4 and they're already heavy cavalry. Khergit horseman - best level 3 troops in game Khergit skirmisher - level 2 and they're already cavalry
Khergit tribesman - best recruit unit in the game, has throwing weapons, bows, and sometimes even horses Swadian man at arms - not as -, but still pretty bad
But up untill the point where you get them, your troops are.
